THE PROBLEM
For many deaf children, learning to read presents unique challenges. Limited access to language-rich environments and a shortage of literacy-focused support can make it difficult for students to develop strong reading, spelling, vocabulary, and word identification skills. Yet literacy is one of the most important foundations for academic success, confidence, and future opportunities.

To improve literacy and language development among Deaf learners in Ghana through accessible, sign-supported learning programs that strengthen reading, text comprehension, and communication skills.
